Testing
- Test pickups
- Plug in amp
- Bridge pickup
- Selector switch on bridge only
- All pots pushed in
- Test volume controls
- while tapping on bridge pickup with screwdriver:
- turn bridge volume up and down and up
- turn bridge tone up and down and up
- turn neck volume up and down (no effect)
- turn neck tone up and down and up (no effect)
- tap on neck pickup (no effect)
- Neck pickup
- Selector switch on neck only
- All pots pushed in
- Test volume controls
- while tapping on neck pickup with screwdriver:
- turn neck volume up and down and up
- turn neck tone up and down and up
- turn bridge volume up and down (no effect)
- turn bridge tone up and down and up (no effect)
- tap on bridge pickup (no effect)
- Both pickups
- Selector switch in middle position
- All pots pushed in
- Test volume controls
- while tapping on neck pickup with screwdriver:
- turn neck tone up and down and up
- turn neck volume up and down (leave off)
- tap on bridge pickup (should work)
- turn neck volume up
- while tapping on bridge pickup with screwdriver:
- turn bridge tone up and down and up
- turn bridge volume up and down (leave off)
- tap on neck pickup (should work)
- turn bridge and neck volume off
- tap on pickups (no effect)
- String up guitar
- Test all options
