Jimmy Page Les Paul Wiring
Assemble the Guitar
Wire the Output Jack & Pickups
- Install output jack
- Push output jack through hole
- Place a drop of Loctite on threads
- Attach output jack to jack plate with nut
- Attach jack plate to guitar with screws
- Test continuity
Using a continuity meter, check the continuity of the output jack plate to:
- bridge pickup base
- bridge volume pot shell
- bridge tone pot shell
- neck pickup base
- neck volume pot shell
- neck tone pot shell
- 3-way switch base
- bridge
- Connect bridge pickup
- Red and white leads
- Solder together
- Solder red and white leads to bridge volume push/pull switch lug D
- Black lead
- Solder black lead to bridge volume push/pull switch lug E
- Green lead
- Solder to green lead to the bridge tone push/pull switch lug B
- Connect neck pickup
- Red and white leads
- Solder together
- Solder red and white leads to neck volume push/pull switch lug E
- Black lead
- Solder black lead to neck volume lug 2
- Green lead
- Solder green lead to neck volume push/pull switch lug D
