New Luthier's Republic, Acton, MA
Many of our monthly meetings are hosted at the "new and improved" Luthier's Republic (aka Luthier's Co-op). Come to our monthly meeting and learn something new, socialize, and see what people have been up to. It's a great space and a great group of people: Ken, Paul, Yukon, Kay, and Bruce.
Directions: The Republic is located at 82 Hayward St in Acton MA, near the intersection of Rt 2 and Rt 27. This is the second floor of "All Metal Fabricators", in a modern metal building.
Take Rt 2 towards Acton MA. This is east of Rt 495, and west from Rt 128/95.
Take the Rt 27 (Main St.) exit and head north on Rt 27, towards Acton (not Maynard). Hayward St is less than 1/2 mi, near the crest of the hill on the left.
You will go a short distance (again less than 1/2 mi.) on Hayward, and cross over a bridge (Rt 2). The shop will be the first building on your left. There is parking in front, along the side and in back of the building. Head around to the back and the door is to the right of the small loading dock.
Check their new website out. There will be easy ways to help them offset some of their expenses (by making tool purchases from Amazon, Grizzly, etc). They also hope to hold guitar building workshops and provide an open shop night. They are a great local resource, so please do what you can to help.
