Luthier's Coop, Acton MA
We're looking forward to another informative tutorial covering many aspects of fretwork/setup/intonation. This is sure to be packed with information of use to all builders.
A variety of tools/techniques will be demonstrated, including optimal setups, common repairs, adjustments, etc.
The workshop will be co-taught by veteran repairmen Bob Meltz and Robert "Yukon" Stubblebine.
Bob Meltz is a well-known and respected builder/repairman on the Boston music scene. In addition to his skills at setup/repair, he has also built instruments for many discriminating players. A copy of one of his guitars (built for Joe Perry) is on display at the Boston Hard Rock Cafe! He brings many years of experience and some unique tools and insight to this workshop.
Yukon is the lead repairman at the Music Emporium in Lexington, MA and a graduate of Roberto-Venn School of Lutherie. Name your favorite Boston area acoustic performer, and odds are that Yukon has gotten their instrument in top playing condition.
Bring your notebooks and be prepared to ask questions - these guys will be sure to help!
